Political Awareness Training: In House Courses
Knowing your onions
Our in-house option offers you the opportunity to draw together everyone in your organisation involved in public affairs for an informal yet productive training day. We employ a mix of presentation, facilitation and workshop sessions. A popular approach is to set your campaign objectives at 10.00 and deliver a plan of how they will be delivered by 16.00. More often than not this operational focus creates an atmosphere of excitement and purpose.
Alternatively, we can focus on specific parliamentary procedures – e.g. committee inquiries and evidence – using case studies and group work to support the learning.
It’s up to you. We’ll help you identify the ropes you want to learn to knot and untie and can, of course, incorporate your current policy issues and themes.
Possible applications include:
- Political awareness training for senior executives
- Equipping volunteer activists with media/parliamentary skills to deliver local awareness campaigns
- Professional development programmes for trade union activists
- Facilitation workshops for membership organisations and campaign groups
Training rates vary according to the brief and size of group but include a comprehensive pre-course consultation and follow-up activity. A sliding scale of discounts is available for charitable and campaign groups or where there is a promotional opportunity.
We would be delighted to discuss all options in greater detail. For a sample programme, training options and quotation please call Kirsty Regan on 0131 557 9999 or email kirsty@newsdirect-uk.com
