When you're in charge of running Scotland's three major city airports you need critical information, delivered in real time, with the reassurance that your interests have been spotted, summarised and an alert sent straight away. An alert, moreover, that's been sent from a researcher who knows what you want, not automated from some search engine that has found your keyword. BAA Scotland moved their monitoring account to newsdirect in 2006 to benefit from such a service. A daily monitoring report is supplemented by priority alerts, forward planning diaries and the knowledge that there's a person on the end of the phone should research or additional information be required.
